Zendaya just hit a big milestone — the last year of her twenties! On September 1, she turned 29 and marked the occasion the way only she can: with a sweet little throwback post that had her fans (and half of Hollywood) flooding the comments.
Instead of a big, glam photo shoot, Z kept it simple — she dropped a picture of herself as a curly-haired kid grinning on a carousel pony. Alongside it, she wrote a heartfelt thank-you to her 177 million Instagram followers:
“Just coming on here to say how grateful I am for another year of life and for all of you for making it so beautiful.”
She added that this is “the official last year of my twenties, literally [what the hell],” signing off with a “29 🫶🏽 Z.”
The birthday love poured in, too. Jason Momoa, Dove Cameron, and countless fans filled her comments with well wishes. And if you’ve followed her birthdays before, you know this is becoming a tradition — last year she also pulled out a childhood throwback for the big day.
But if you think 29 is a “quiet” year, think again. Zendaya’s got a stacked calendar. She’s back as Rue in the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, she’s starring in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (hitting theaters May 2026), and she’s leading Christopher Nolan’s epic take on The Odyssey (July 2026). Not to mention, she’s still filming the next Dune instalment. Honestly, How does she sleep?
Of course, her fiancé Tom Holland is right there alongside her — literally. The two star together in Brand New Day and The Odyssey. They got engaged earlier this year (remember the Golden Globes diamond ring reveal?), but according to her stylist Law Roach, wedding planning hasn’t even started yet. Between both of their movie slates, they’ve got time. And really, we all know when these two finally tie the knot, it’s going to be a global event.
For now, Zendaya is just soaking in the love, the milestones, and the madness of her schedule. She was last spotted cozying up with Tom on the set of Brand New Day earlier this month, proving once again that they’re balancing being Hollywood’s busiest couple with just… being in love.
