North West is twelve and already causing internet debates. The oldest Kardashian-West kid showed off a new piercing, and predictably, everyone lost their collective minds. Some people think it’s too much too soon. Others are saying, “Well, she’s Kim and Kanye’s daughter, what did you expect?”
Honestly, I don’t know why we’re all pretending to be shocked. North has been serving attitude and designer looks since before most of us learned to contour. The girl walked into this world with a front-row seat at Fashion Week and a permanent spotlight. A piercing feels almost… tame?
It’s funny how every generation has its “too grown” moment. For some of us, it was lip gloss and low-rise jeans. For North, it’s a shiny stud that probably costs more than our rent.
