Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi announced on instagram that they welcomed a baby girl through adoption: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were three.”

For Millie, motherhood isn’t something new she just stumbled into. It’s been part of her story for years. On the SmartLess podcast, she revealed that she’d always dreamed of becoming a mom, recalling how she told her own mother as a child: “Since I was a baby, I told my mum I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.” Her parents both became young parents themselves—her mother at 21 and her father at 19—so it’s no surprise Millie felt that pull early on.
What makes her journey even more inspiring is the way she talks about adoption. To her, it isn’t a Plan B or something secondary to “having your own.” It’s simply another beautiful way to build a family. “For me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different as adopting,” she once explained. “My home is full of love for anyone and anything.” That openness mirrors the life she and Jake have been building on their Georgia farm, where they rescue animals and live with a gentler rhythm far removed from Hollywood chaos. Adoption, in many ways, feels like a natural extension of that ethos.
Both Millie and Jake grew up in big families—each one of four siblings—and they’ve openly said they want the same for themselves. Their announcement, ending with “And then there were three,” carries not just the joy of new parenthood but the quiet promise of more to come.
I wish them all the good things of life. What do you think?
