Hulk Hogan has died at 71 after a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. He was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital on Thursday morning and pronounced dead shortly after 11 a.m. No foul play is suspected. He passed surrounded by loved ones, including his wife Sky Daily, whom he married in 2023. Just months before his death, the couple were baptized together a quiet, reflective turn in the Hulkster’s rollercoaster life.

Hulk Hogan’s ventures into film (Rocky III), reality TV (Hogan Knows Best), and politics from endorsing Donald Trump to becoming a vocal supporter of MAGA causes further solidified his legacy in the world.
Tributes poured in from all corners, from Trump to Ric Flair to Gov. Ron DeSantis. For many, Hogan was a symbol of their childhoods, of simpler times when heroes wore spandex and everything was larger than life.

Complicated Legacy
Hogan’s life outside the ring was messier. From the Gawker sex tape lawsuit that destroyed a media empire, to his 2015 racism scandal that got him temporarily removed from the WWE Hall of Fame, his public image took repeated hits. Though he was reinstated in 2018, younger fans never fully warmed back up. Earlier this year, at what would be his last major WWE appearance, he was booed by a Los Angeles crowd.
Hulk Hogan joins the list of public figures to have passed away this month.
