Fashion biggest night, Met Gala 2025, is here, and as usual the celebrities turned up dressed to kill, well some.
I have been scrolling through X (always will be Twitter to me), looking for one outfit that would probably be the highlight for this year’s Met Gala and to be honest, I haven’t really seen ‘The One’. So maybe Teyana Taylor’s outfit, from the back, it does it for me, but the front just seem a little too busy.
To be fair, I knew there would be more misses than hits this year, because of the theme, this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” paid homage to Black dandyism, and luxury black tailoring. So I just knew people’s interpretation of Black dandyism might be off, with more people staying safe with a suit.
Starting off, with Teyana Taylor’s back side, lovely, making a bold statement. She is my no 1 for the night.
For the Met Gala 2025 ‘What were you thinking’ category
Some outfits were just not it, like I keep wondering what the designers were thinking off, starting with our Afrobeats queen Tems, like what’s with the umbrella and the whole Ankara vibe. Maybe. it’s the colours, but everything was a miss for me.
