Grandfather Overwhelmed!  After Grandson ‘Cam Dedman’ Restored His Beloved 1957 Chevy As Birthday Gift

For more than a year, Cam Dedman of Louisville, Kentucky, worked hard to restore his grandfather’s 1957 Chevy.

Dedman and his grandfather, Fred Lamar, were very close.

The young man grew up hearing about his grandfather’s love for the car that he had been sitting in Lamar’s garage since 1976.

Lamar had wanted to restore the vehicle but he did not have the money to do so.

Dedman decided to make his grandfather’s wish come true.

“I saved for years to do this, I even sold my personal car to help finance parts for the Chevy,” he said in a Facebook post. “Everything is worth it for my grandfather!” He added.

The project cost Dedman about $20,000.

Family and friends gathered to watch as Dedman revealed the car to his grandfather as a birthday gift.

Lamar seemed to be unsteady on his feet as he was overcome with emotions when he spotted the car. He then began crying and hugging Dedman in appreciation for the amazing gift.

Dedman uploaded the touching video to Facebook, where it quickly went viral and was seen over 2 million times.
