During Sunday night’s 2017 Golden Globes, Ryan Gosling scored a best actor award for his work in La La Land. After accepting his trophy, the actor said, “I would like to try to thank one person properly and say while I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady ‘Eva Mendes’ was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer.”

The actor’s speech became more sincere as he appreciated his partner, Eva Mendes, who dealt with numerous challenges while Gosling was filming, proving she is quite the Superwoman.
Some media outlets like The Independent tried to taint his words, by saying he was sexist by implying that Eva Mendes as a woman belonged to the house, while he as the man would be the one to go out and face his career.
Eva Mendes replied in a very cool, sweet and subtle way
Can this whole sexist talk end already? It’s a new Year!
